Outside Workers Ratify A New Contract

The union representing outside workers in the Regional Municipality has ratified a new contract.

The four-year collective agreement still has to be approved by the municipality.

CUPE Local 759 president Kevin Ivey says the union believes it’s a fair deal for its members and the public.

Details of the agreement have not been released but the union has said wages were the main outstanding issue.
