Ontario Man Facing Drug Charges After Marine Atlantic Arrest

An Ontario man is due in Sydney court this morning after Regional Police say they got a tip from staff at the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal in North Sydney on the weekend.

Police add they got called to Marine Atlantic at around 10:00 on Saturday night after workers there spotted a man with suspicious packages.

They go on to say officers seized 2 kilograms of cocaine and arrested 21 year-old David John Honcoop from Brantford, Ontario.

He was held at the Correctional Centre over the weekend and is facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine.
