Online Petition For Sydney Airport

There’s an online petition calling on the federal government to help re-establish passenger air service at the McCurdy Sydney Airport.

The Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce has launched the petition that calls on Ottawa to provide financial support to the air industry during the pandemic.

Air Canada says it plans to suspend all air service to Sydney indefinitely as of January 11^th.

The petition now has well over the 500 signatures needed to allow it to be read in Parliament.
