Online Fundraiser for Robbie Chaisson’s Family

An online fundraiser has been started for the family of 49 year old Robbie Chaisson from New Waterford.

The gym teacher and former head coach of the Cape Breton University men’s soccer team died in an ATV crash, early Sunday morning.

The campaign was started on behalf of the Ottawa Catholic Intermediate Athletic Association that Chaisson was a past president of.

The money raised will help fund the education of Chaisson’s three children.

So far, just under 5-thousand dollars has been raised through the GoFundMe campaign.

The crash remains under investigation.
