Some NW Patients Included In Pilot Project

The collaborative practice in New Waterford is among four clinics taking part in a pilot project giving patients access to their medical records through the YourHealthNS app.

Clinics in Pictou, Kings and Queens counties are also taking part in the pilot.

Premier Tim Houston says the addition of patient records makes it easy, convenient and faster for people to access their own information all in one place to better manage their own healthcare.

A total of about 12,000 patients are included in the pilot and they will be getting information from their clinic this week about how to log in to view their medical history.

The pilot runs until the end of March and people across the province are expected to have mobile access to their medical records through the app by the end of June.
