Nursing Seats Added At CBU

The province is adding another 62 nursing seats at Cape Breton University.

About $3.2 million is being spent on the new first-year seats in CBU’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

The province says that also includes funding that will help the university improve recruitment and retention of students from under-represented groups.

There are now 133 first-year nursing seats at CBU.

The province says the new seats will ensure a steady intake of nursing students as practicing registered nurses near retirement.
