NSP Opening Emergency Operations Centre This Morning

Nova Scotia Power says it’s opening its Emergency Operations Centre at 9:00 this morning with a wind warning in effect for the entire province.

The utility says its positioning crews across the province so they’re ready to respond as soon as it’s safe to do so.

It says crews must stand down when winds reach 80 km/hr.

The company is encouraging customers to be prepared by securing items outside their homes and having an emergency kit handy.
