NS Vaccine Mandate Expanded

The province is expanding its mandatory vaccine rule to include provincial correctional officers and people working in the regulated childcare industry.

The vaccine mandate was announced last month for people in a number of other provincial jobs, including healthcare workers, long-term care workers and teachers, as well as people working in Department of Community Services facilities.

Those covered by the rule have until November 30th to get vaccinated.

If they don’t, they will have to go on unpaid administrative leave.
