NS To Introduce Self-Isolation Requirements For Travelers Aged 12+

The province is putting self-isolation requirements in place starting on Monday for everyone 12 and over coming into Nova Scotia.

Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang says children in that age group have had plenty of time to get vaccinated against COVID-19 since the province started isolation requirements based on vaccination status back in June.

With the change announced today, everyone 12 and older needs to have their own Safe Check-in form that reflects their own vaccination status.

Adults can complete the form on behalf of children.

People who were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arriving do not have to isolate but testing is recommended.

People who are not fully vaccinated will have to isolate for at least seven days and get two negative test results in Nova Scotia to stop isolating after seven days.
