NS Reports Two New COVID Cases, Extends Emergency Measures

The province is renewing its COVID-19 State of Emergency today as it announces two new cases of the virus.

The new cases are in the Northern Zone that includes the Pictou, Cumberland, and Colchester-East Hants areas and both cases involve people who’ve recently travelled outside the Atlantic Bubble.

One of the people has been in self-isolation since coming back to the province.

The Health Department says the other person was not required to self-isolate under the Health Protection Act Order but they did so as COVID-19 symptoms developed.

There’s now a total of six confirmed active cases in the province.

The renewed State of Emergency runs from Sunday until November 15th unless the government ends or extends the order.
