The province is reporting another COVID-19 death today, along with 15 more hospitalizations.
It’s also reporting an outbreak at another ward at the Northside General Hospital.
It says fewer than five patients at the hospital have tested positive.
Health officials say the person who died was a man in his 80’s in the Central Zone.
There are now 58 people in the province in hospital with COVID-19, including four people in intensive care.
The province is also reporting 616 new cases of COVID-19 today.
332 of the new cases are in the Central Zone, with 103 in the Eastern Zone, 69 in the Northern Zone and 112 in the Western Zone.
Premier Tim Houston and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 update at 3:00 tomorrow afternoon.
They will be joined by the provincial Health Authority’s Vice-President of Medicine, Dr. Nicole Boutilier.
