The province is reporting 34 new cases of COVID-19 today.
One of those cases is in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network and is related to travel.
26 of the new cases are in the Northern Zone and are close contacts of earlier reported cases.
Health officials say there’s a large cluster of cases in an unvaccinated group in the Northern Zone and more cases are expected.
Seven of the cases reported today are in the Central Zone, where health officials say there are signs of community spread among people aged 20-40 who are unvaccinated and taking part in social activities.
With 20 new recoveries reported today, there’s now a total of 173 known active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including four in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network.
Four people in the province are in now hospital with the virus.
