NS Reports 12 New Cases of COVID-19

The province is reporting 12 new cases of COVID-19 today.

One of those cases is in the Eastern Zone and involves a student at St. FX University in Antigonish who travelled outside of Atlantic Canada.

Two of the new cases are in the Western Zone with one involving travel outside the Atlantic region and the other being a close contact of a previously reported case.

Nine of the cases are in the Central Zone.

Health officials say seven of those cases are close contacts of earlier reported cases, one is connected to travel outside the region and the other is under investigation.

There’s now a total of 29 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.

No one in the province is currently in hospital with the virus.
