NS Reporting Four COVID-19 Deaths, 10 Hospitalizations, 401 Cases, Local Long-Term Care Home Outbreak

The province is reporting four more COVID-19 deaths and 10 more hospitalizations today, as well as an outbreak at a local long-term care home.

Three staff members have tested positive at Victoria Haven in Glace Bay, where increased public health measures and restrictions are now in place.

Health officials say a man in his 90’s in the Eastern Zone is among those who died, along with a woman in her 60’s, a woman in her 80’s and a woman in her 90’s, all in the Central Zone.  

The province is reporting 97 people are in hospital after being admitted because of COVID-19, including 13 people in intensive care.

It’s also reporting 401 more lab-confirmed cases of the virus today.

Of those, 176 cases are in the Central Zone, with 55 in the Eastern Zone, 59 in the Northern Zone and 111 in the Western Zone.
