NS Reporting 38 New COVID Cases, More Local School Exposures

The province is reporting 38 new cases of COVID-19 today and another exposure is being reported at a school in the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education.

The latest school exposure in the area is at Bras d’Or Elementary.  

Meanwhile, one of the new cases reported today is in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

There are also 19 new cases in the Central Zone, with 14 in the Western Zone, and four in the Northern Zone.

The province says the Health Authority’s public health team is investigating the new cases to understand the circumstances around the increased numbers.

With 19 new recoveries, there’s now a total of 180 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including 18 in the Regional Municipality.

Eight people in the province are in hospital with the virus.
