NS Reporting 31 New COVID Cases

The province is reporting 31 new cases of COVID-19 today.

Two of the new cases are in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

There are also 19 new cases in the Central Zone, with nine in the Northern Zone and one in the Western Zone.

41 recoveries are also being reported today, bringing the province’s total number of confirmed active cases to 253, including six in the Regional Municipality and one in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.

16 people in the province are now in hospital with the virus, including seven people in intensive care.

Premier Tim Houston and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 update at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon.
