The province says it’s expanding its Satellite Internet Service Rebate program again—something it says will help people get access to internet service faster.
Starting today, the program is accepting applications from any resident or business owner who currently doesn’t have access to wired or wireless internet service.
The rebate covers the one-time costs for eligible homes and businesses to set up satellite internet, including hardware, shipping, installation and tax, up to a maximum of $1000.
People can check online to see if they’re eligible by visiting internet.developns.ca/satellite.
The province says only Starlink can meet the requirements of the program at this time but other satellite providers may be included if they’re able to meet the requirements.
