Nova Scotia’s Average Wages Second Lowest in Canada

Statistics Canada says Nova Scotia has the second-lowest weekly wages in the country.

The agency’s report says the average weekly wage in Nova Scotia in April 2016 was $856.84.

Only Prince Edward Island has a lower average at $809.17.

 

The report did say that Nova Scotia’s weekly wage did grow by 2.23 percent since April 2015.

The Canadian average is $955.67 per week. Alberta has the highest average weekly wage at $1,126.62.
