Nova Scotia Power Mobilizing For Tomorrow’s Wet and Windy Weather

Nova Scotia Power says it’s mobilizing personnel and resources in advance of tomorrow’s storm expected to bring high wind gusts and heavy rain.

The utility is activating its Emergency Operations Centre at noon today.

A spokesperson for the company says trees across the province were weakened by storm Dorian last month and they’re getting ready to respond in case trees fall onto power lines.

It also says crews will be restoring any outages as soon as it’s safe.

The company is asking people to get ready for power outages by having an emergency kit that includes flashlights, a battery-powered radio and fresh water.
