by The new Northside Urgent Treatment Centre opens today.
The Urgent Treatment Centre provides same day or next day treatment for people with unexpected, non-life-threatening health problems.
It also offers some mental health support.
The Centre is designed to relieve some of the pressure created by a lack of family doctors and closed emergency departments in Cape Breton.
It’s located in the former Emergency Department at the Northside General and is scheduled to open at 8:30 this morning.
