Northside Man Rescued From Woods

Regional Police say a 43 year- old Northside man was rescued in woods in the Milleville area last night after his All-Terrain Vehicle got stuck.

They add they got the call for help from the man at around 8:40.

It was after midnight before rescuers reached him.

Police say the man had to be carried out of the woods after being exposed to low temperatures and rain for a long period of time.

They go on to say he was treated by paramedics and is expected to fully recover.

Police also credit the Regional Municipality’s new digital emergency radio system with helping to improve communications between all the agencies involved in the rescue.
