The Cape Breton Regional Police say they’ve fined a 25-year-old North Sydney woman for violating the province’s health protection orders.
Police say they were called to a North Sydney home at around 5 yesterday morning for a report of a social gathering that exceeded Nova Scotia’s gathering limits.
Police fined the woman for violating the Health Protection Act, which carries a fine of 1000 dollars.
Currently, households can have up to 10 visitors at their home, in addition to the people who live there without social distancing.
