North Sydney Man Sentenced To 12 Years For Manslaughter

A North Sydney man was given a 12-year prison sentence today after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the death of 60-year-old Robert Bradley from Sydney Mines.

Stephen Michael Bishop was scheduled to stand trial starting at the end of last month on a charge of second degree murder but he entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge on October 5^th.

Regional Police say Bradley was found dead after they got called to an assault at a home in North Sydney on September 3^rd, 2020.

John Patrick White from Florence is charged with second degree murder in the case and his trial is scheduled to start on January 4^th.
