North Sydney Man Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter

A North Sydney man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of 60-year-old Robert Bradley from Sydney Mines.

42-year-old Stephen Michael Bishop had been scheduled to stand trial starting at the end of the month on a charge of second degree murder, but he entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge today.

He’s now scheduled to be sentenced on November 24th.

Regional Police say Bradley was found dead after they got called to an assault at a home on Brook Street in North Sydney on September 3rd, 2020.

John Patrick White from Florence is also charged in the case.

He’s facing a charge of second degree murder, and his trial is scheduled to run from January 4th to 31st.
