North Sydney Man Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter

A North Sydney man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of 60-year-old Robert Bradley from Sydney Mines.

42-year-old Stephen Michael Bishop had been scheduled to stand trial starting at the end of the month on a charge of second degree murder, but he entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge today.

He’s now scheduled to be sentenced on November 24^th.

Regional Police say Bradley was found dead after they got called to an assault at a home on Brook Street in North Sydney on September 3^rd, 2020.

John Patrick White from Florence is also charged in the case.

He’s facing a charge of second degree murder, and his trial is scheduled to run from January 4^th to 31^st.
