No Visitors Allowed At Hospitals in Glace Bay and North Sydney Because Of COVID-19

The Health Authority says patients at the Northside General Hospital and the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital are not allowed to have visitors because of COVID-19 activity and/or staffing requirements at both facilities.

The same restriction applies to Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital and St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish.

Nova Scotia Health says exceptions may be made for palliative care patients, patients getting Medical Assistance in Dying and other patients nearing end of life.

The no visitor rule will stay in place at all four hospitals until further notice.
