No In-Person Public Attendance At Next Regional Council Meeting

Regional Mayor Amanda MacDougall says there will be no public attendance at their first official council meeting since last month’s municipal election.

McDougall says people will have to watch online because of the pandemic.

She says the decision was made after the province announced the start of community spread in Halifax.

McDougall says council is meeting at Centre 200 on Tuesday, where they’ll follow COVID-19 social distancing measures.

She says hopefully meetings will resume soon in council chambers with public attendance.
