No Further Appeal In Kelloway Case

The Supreme Court of Canada says it will not hear the appeal of a man convicted of  killing a Glace Bay man in the Calgary area.

The court dismissed Nicholas Rasberry’s appeal application today.

Rasberry stabbed Craig Kelloway 37 times while the two were in Rasberry’s home on May 4th, 2013.

At his trial, Rasberry claimed he was sexually assaulted and acted in self-defence.

While initially charged with second degree-murder, he was convicted on the lesser charge of manslaughter in 2015.

The conviction was upheld by the Alberta Court of Appeal earlier this year.
