Nine new COVID cases in Nova Scotia over the weekend; two in CBRM

Nova Scotia is reporting nine new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, including two new cases in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality.

Both new cases are travel-related.

Five more cases have been reported in the Central Zone, and two in the Northern Zone.

Ten more Nova Scotians have recovered, bringing the number of known, active cases in the province to 24.

Three of those active cases are in the Regional Municipality.

One Nova Scotian remains in intensive care with the illness.

Seventy-seven per cent of Nova Scotia’s population has had at least one dose of a COVID vaccine; just over 68 per cent have had both shots.
