Nine Homeless After Sydney Fire

The Red Cross says nine people have been put out of their home after a fire in Sydney, yesterday evening.

They add the blaze at 40 Ferry Street was reported, shortly after 5:00.

The fire damaged the older three-storey apartment building but no one was hurt.

The Red Cross adds it’s arranged emergency lodging and meals for seven tenants.

It goes on to say two others have made their own arrangements.

There’s no word on the cause of the fire.
