Nine Forced From Their Homes By North Sydney Fire

The Red Cross says nine people have been forced from their homes by a fire in a building with four apartments in North Sydney.

The organization says the blaze on King Street was reported at around 5:00 yesterday evening.

Red Cross volunteers are helping a family of six from one apartment with emergency lodging, food and clothing.

The organization is providing food and clothing to a man from a second apartment while the tenants in the other two units have made their own arrangements.
