New Waterford Robbery Accused Due in Court, Today

A man and a woman facing charges after an armed robbery at the French Club in New Waterford last week are due in court today.
34 year-old Michael Daniel Campbell from New Waterford faces counts of robbery with a weapon, disguise with intent, breach of probation and two counts of assault.
And, 21 year-old Jenna Corrine Heffernan from Gardiner Mines is charged with robbery with a weapon, breach of probation, and failure to comply with an undertaking.
Both have been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Facility to await today’s court appearances.
The armed robbery happened at around 12:30 on Wednesday morning.
Police say the robbers got away in a dark grey Mazda.
They add a weapon was used in the robbery, and a small cash box was taken from Club.
