New Waterford Man Released on Conditions

A New Waterford man charged in connection with two robberies in August has been released on conditions.

45-year-old Wilbur Bernard Woodland from Mahon Street is charged with two counts of armed robbery involving a knife.

The robberies targeted a person at the Scotiabank ATM and the Needs Convenience Store in New Waterford.

Woodland must stay away from the store and bank.

The other man charged 29-year-old Aaron Shaun young is on remand and is facing a charge of second-degree murder in the September death of Jim Matthews.

Woodland will enter pleas on October 31.
