New Schools For Glace Bay and The Northside Under New Capital Plan

The Cape Breton Victoria Regional Centre for Education is getting two new schools in a capital plan released, today.

A new elementary is slated for the Glace Bay area with work due to begin on the project in 2019–20.

A new middle school for the Northside area is slated for 2020–21.

Breton Education Centre New Waterford and Ferrisview Elementary North Sydney are both due to undergo major renovations in 2020–21.

The province is also committing to buy the Sydney P3 schools Harbourside Elementary and Sherwood Park Middle School in 2020–21.

The former elected school board had planned to close both schools.
