by The provincial health authority says the Glace Bay Hospital Emergency Department will be re-opening briefly next week after being closed for two months.
It’ll be open Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 am to 4 pm, but will then be closed again until Wednesday of the following week.
The Northside Emergency Department will be closed from Saturday until Thursday of next week while the New Waterford Emergency Department will be closed from Saturday to Tuesday.
The health authority blames those closures and others in its Eastern Zone on a lack of doctor coverage.
Overnight closures at the hospital in Canso are being blamed on a lack of nursing coverage.
