New Holiday Transit Service Announced

The Regional Municipality has announced new transit service being offered on some holidays.

Service will be offered on Thanksgiving, Easter Monday and Victoria Day, as well as on civic holidays.

Meanwhile, the municipality says full transit service will be available on Canada Day with the exception of Route 2 but some changes will be made.

It says Route 1 will be extended to Intercolonial and Ferry Street to allow people to get to the Canada Day celebrations at Open Hearth Park and Route 5 will have another run at the end of the day for events on the Northside.

Route 6 will serve Canada Day celebrations at Petersfield Park and Route 9 at night will bring people from Route 1 at CBU to New Waterford if needed.

Handi-Trans bookings for Canada Day have to be made by 3:00 pm on June 27th.

To book Handi-Trans, people can call 902-539-4336.
