New CBU Students’ Union President

Students at Cape Breton University have elected a new Students’ Union president.

Brandon Ellis got a total of 385 votes to win over opponents Ben McNutt and Brennan Boudreau.

McNutt garnered 124 votes while Boudreau, who’s the outgoing president came in third with 118.

Andrew Petrie was elected to the position of Vice President with 496 votes. 

Ellis is a native of Whitney Pier and is a third year Bachelor of Arts student . 

Vice President Elect Petrie hails from New Waterford and is a 2nd year Arts student.

They’ll both assume their new roles on May 1st.                                

A total of 628 students cast a ballot in the elections.
