The province is reporting 8 new cases of COVID-19 today, including one in the Cape Breton Community Health Network that covers the Regional Municipality.
Health officials say that case is related to travel outside Atlantic Canada.
The seven other new cases are all in the Central Zone.
Four of those cases are close contacts of previously reported cases and the three others are under investigation.
There’s now a total of 27 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including 3 in the Cape Breton Community Health Network.
One person in the province is in hospital with the virus and is being treated in intensive care.
