National Inflation Rate Falls To 2.2% In October

Statistics Canada says the national inflation rate was 2.2% in October.

That’s down from 2.4% in September.

The federal agency says the drop was largely fuelled by gas prices that fell at a faster pace in October compared with September.

It says slower growth in grocery prices also contributed to the drop in inflation last month.

Nova Scotia’s inflation rate in October was 2.6%.
