Murder Charge Laid In Death of Natacha Leroy

A North Sydney woman has been charged with the murder of Natacha Leroy, whose remains were found in Big Bras d’Or last week.

RCMP say 25-year-old Carolyn Ann Dermody was arrested on the Bedford Highway in Halifax yesterday.

Dermody is also facing a charge of indignity to human remains.

Meanwhile, RCMP say a 28-year-old Big Bras d’Or man is also being sought in the case.

They say the man is thought to be in the Regional Municipality but his name has not been released.

Police say the murder wasn’t random and Dermody and the unnamed man knew Leroy.

Dermody is now on remand ahead of a court appearance on Monday.
