A 40 year-old Gardiner Mines man charged with the first degree murder of his common-law partner is due back in court on Friday after a brief court appearance today.
At that time, Richard Wayne McNeil is expected to have a lawyer.
McNeil was arrested at the scene after police found the body of 33 year-old SaraBeth Forbes in the couples’ home on Tuesday of last week.
Forbes worked as a teacher’s aid at Tompkins Elementary in Reserve Mines, and her son Devon goes to the school.
McNeil is being held in custody to await his next court appearance.
