Murder Accused Makes Court Appearance

A 22 year-old man appeared in court over video link today as he faces a charge in the death of a man in Victoria County earlier this week.

Brian Coady Rose from New Haven was arrested on Tuesday on a charge of second degree murder after the body of a 77 year-old man was found on Monday night near a home in New Haven outside Neil’s Harbour.

Rose was scheduled to have a bail hearing when he appeared in Port Hawkesbury Court from the Correctional Centre in Gardiner Mines today but the hearing was scheduled for Tuesday in Sydney Court.

Rose is also due in court in Wagmatcook for a plea hearing on September 27th.  

RCMP say their investigation continues.
