by People have until 4:00 this afternoon to comment on a proposed 30 percent increase in taxi fares in the Regional Municipality.
The proposed by-law amendment comes after taxi company owners contacted several Regional councillors with concerns over rising costs, especially for fuel.
People can get a copy of the proposed by-law by contacting the clerk’s office.
The by-law will be brought for second and final reading to council at a meeting that starts at 10:00 on Friday morning.
