Municipality Exploring New Banking Options

The Regional Municipality will soon be looking at the possibility of acquiring new banking services.

At the Audit Committee meeting this afternoon, Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Campbell told committee members the municipality has been banking with BMO for well over a decade.

Committee Member and District 11 Councillor Lorne Green says it’s time to explore other options to make sure the municipality is getting the best value for its money.

The committee later voted to have staff put out a request for proposals for banking services.
