Mother of Suspect in Reserve Mines Shooting Due in Court

The mother of a Ben Eoin man charged after a fatal shooting in Reserve Mines is due in court today.

25 year-old Brandon James Berthiaume faces a count of first-degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Brandon Kelly in June.

His mother has been charged with being an accessory after the fact in the case.

According to court information, 45 year-old Jennifer Lynn Chisholm is accused of knowing that her son killed Kelly and helped her son by taking a black leather biker’s vest from him.

Chisholm is due to enter a plea to the charge, today.

She’s been released on conditions while her son remains on remand.
