More Police and Paramedics for Natal Day Weekend

The municipality says it’s working with police and paramedics to have extra staff on the job during what’s expected to be a busy Natal Day weekend.

CBRM recreation’s Joe Costello says their biggest priority is public safety.

Thousands of people are expected to be on the island today and all long weekend with the tall ships, pride fest, the Johnny Miles festival and jazz fest taking place among other events.

Some hotels, car rental businesses and campgrounds on the island are reporting they’re already sold out.
