More Inverness “Chase The Ace” Winners in CBRM

For the second weekend in a row, the winners in the popular Chase the Ace lottery in Inverness are from the CBRM.

Mary Margaret MacIntyre and her boyfriend John Glogowski from Sydney Mines won just over 79-thousand dollars in Saturday’s draw.

However, they didn’t pick the ace which means next week’s jackpot is projected to be around 600-thousand dollars.

The fundraising event for the Inverness Cottage Workshop started 44 weeks ago and has attracted bigger and bigger crowds as the jackpot continues to grow.

About 24-hundred people packed the Inverness Arena for this week’s draw and new parking restrictions put in place because of the lottery’s popularity went into effect for the first time on Saturday.

The window for selling tickets was also extended to three hours from two.
