Modular Small Option Homes Coming To CB

Cape Breton is one of four areas in the province getting new community-based small option homes.

The province says the goal is to allow people with disabilities to move into the community sooner.

It says The Disability Support Program has commissioned two custom designs for modular homes that can be developed more quickly than traditional construction.

The government says both designs will allow up to four people to live in accessible, energy-efficient homes.

Construction of the first five modular homes is starting this summer and people are expected to move in early next year.
