Missing Boater on Mira River

Regional Police say the search will resume this morning for a missing boater on the Mira River.

Police say they got the call to Mira Ferry Lane in Albert Bridge shortly after 7:00, last night to the report of a person falling out of a small fishing boat and into the water.

They add the boat was found with no one inside.

Police also say water Rescue Units from the Albert Bridge, Glace Bay, New Waterford and Sydney Mines Fire Departments helped in the search.
