Missing Boater Identified

Regional Police have identified the man who went missing while fishing on the Mira River earlier this week.

56 year-old Murray Reid, who’s from the Albert Bridge area, is believed to have fallen out of his boat while fishing on Monday evening.

A Coast Guard boat has joined in the ongoing search for Reid.

Police say their divers are also taking part in the search, along with water rescue boats from the Albert Bridge and Glace Bay Fire Departments and civilian boats equipped with sonar.

A Natural Resources helicopter is back today along with ground search and rescue volunteers on the shoreline.
