by Provincial Agriculture Minister Greg Morrow says staff in his Department have spoken with groups interested in the future of the exhibition grounds in North Sydney.
However, Morrow says he’s not aware of anything legally preventing the Cape Breton-Richmond Federation of Agriculture from selling the property.
Morrow made the statements in response to Northside-Westmount MLA Fred Tilley, who brought up the exhibition grounds during Question Period in the legislature today.
Tilley says two non-profit groups have come up with proposals to take over the property but have been turned down.
